Market Opens:
Indian indices opened on a positive note on December 8 with Nifty around 20,950 ahead of RBI policy outcome.
The Sensex was up 131.18 points or 0.19 percent at 69,652.87, and the Nifty was up 46.10 points or 0.22 percent at 20,947.30. About 1733 shares advanced, 423 shares declined, and 120 shares unchanged.
Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises, JSW Steel and Hindalco Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ICICI Bank, Titan Company, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Bharti Airtel and SBI.
