Gold has broken below the key levels and may remain under pressure unless there is a substantial correction in US dollar.
In India, gold rates have fallen ₹2000 per 10 gram this week while silver ₹9,000 per kg.
Brent crude was down 33 cents, or 0.8 percent, at USD 42.82 a barrel by 0645 GMT, while US crude was down 38 cents, or 0.9 percent, to USD 40.73 a barrel.
