The last full Budget before next year’s general elections is unlikely to bring any real goodies for India’s corporate sector. It comes at a time when the fiscal deficit is a worry and the economy, already burdened by debt and subsidy bills, is threatened by a subdued outlook for global growth, estimated at 1.8 percent in 2023 as against 2.9 percent in 2022.
