Gold prices were trading in the red on Friday amid a surge in the dollar index in the previous session. The MCX October gold futures were trading down by Rs 65 or 0.11% from the Thursday closing price at Rs 59,309 per 10 gram on the MCX while the December Silver futures were trading at Rs 75,750 per kg, lower by Rs 68 or 0.09%.
