Brent crude (LCOc1) was trading down 21 cents, or 0.5%, at $41.51 a barrel by 0055 GMT, after gaining 28 cents on Tuesday, while U.S. crude (CLc1) slipped 23 cents, or 0.6, to $39.57.
Gold prices tumbled Rs 672 to Rs 51,328 per 10 gram in the national capital on Tuesday on a weak global trend, according to HDFC Securities.
Nickel for September delivery touched an intraday high of Rs 1,073.90 and a low of Rs 1,058.40 per kg on the MCX.
