Oil costs were down on Thursday in Asia after the most recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump darkened expectations that the world’s two greatest economies could turn away a resumption of their exchange war.

U.S. Raw petroleum WTI Futures and the universal Brent Oil Futures both fell 0.9% to $61.59 and 69.80 individually by 12:40 AM ET (04:40 GMT).

The fall in oil costs came after Trump said at a crusade rally in Florida medium-term that China “broke the arrangement” he was consulting with it on exchange.

China’s top exchange moderator, Vice Premier Liu He, is because of visit Washington later in the day and will probably attempt to keep Washington from raising levies to 25% from 10% on $200 billion of Chinese imports.
