Copper outputs ascent, 0.09 per cent on earthly cues

Copper contracts rose 0.09 per cent to Rs 411 per kg in futures exchange today on upside cues from the overseas markets and a pick-up in Polaroid requirement.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for rescue in far-month April rose by 35 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 411 per kg, with a turnover of 15 lots.

Similarly, the metal for demeanor in February went up by 25 paise, or 0.07 per cent, at Rs 407.05 per kg, with a trade volume of 452 lots.

Globally, copper for three-month delivery crawled 0.3 per cent to $6,370.75 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Market analysts attributed the rise in copper futures to a firming flow in base metals pack on the LME ahead of US data prepared to show goods orders distended and the world’s largest economy matured more than valuations in the third quarter.
