Market Opens:
Indian indices opened on a negative note on August 2 with Nifty around 19650.
The Sensex was down 280.09 points or 0.42% at 66,179.22, and the Nifty was down 84.30 points or 0.43% at 19,649.20. About 1097 shares advanced, 997 shares declined, and 123 shares unchanged.
Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco, Tata Steel, L&T and JSW Steel were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainer were UPL, ONGC, Coal India, Dr Reddy’s Labs and Nestle.
