Base metals: Nickel, copper futures climb on fresh bets

Nickel prices on Monday gained 1.18 per cent to Rs 901 per kg in futures

trade as speculators built positions on rising demand from alloy-makers in

spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for April delivery

gained Rs 10.50, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 901 per kg in a business turnover of

1,149 lots.

Similarly, the metal for May delivery traded higher by Rs 10.20, or 1.15 per

cent, at Rs 893.80 per kg in a business turnover of 38 lots.
