Bulls charge on D-St Nifty tops 17450, Sensex rises 500 pts on strong global cues.

Domestic equity benchmark indices opened higher amid strong global cues and falling crude oil prices. NSE Nifty50 climbed over 150 points to trade above 17,450 levels and the BSE Sensex index surged over 500 points to trade at 58,930 levels. Broader markets, too, jumped in tandem with the frontline indices as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 advanced up to 0.7 per cent. All sectors started trade on a firm note with Nifty Media, Nifty Auto, and Nifty IT indices gaining the most, up to 2 per cent.
