Benchmark indices ended lower on August 17 with Nifty below 19,400 amid selling across the sectors barring PSU Banks.
ITC, LTIMindtree, Divis Lab, Power Grid and Nestle were among the top losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Adani Ports, Titan Company, Adani Enterprises, Bajaj Auto and SBI.
Except PSU Bank, all other sectoral indices ended in the red with Oil & Gas, power, FMCG and Information Technology down 0.4-0.8 percent.
The broader indices outperformed the main indices with BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended marginally higher.

पीएसयू बैंकों को छोड़कर सभी क्षेत्रों में बिकवाली के बीच बेंचमार्क सूचकांक 17 अगस्त को निफ्टी के 19,400 से नीचे गिरने के साथ बंद हुए।
निफ्टी पर आईटीसी, एलटीआईमाइंडट्री, डिविस लैब, पावर ग्रिड और नेस्ले शीर्ष हारने वालों में से थे, जबकि लाभ पाने वालों में अदानी पोर्ट्स, टाइटन कंपनी, अदानी एंटरप्राइजेज, बजाज ऑटो और एसबीआई शामिल थे।
पीएसयू बैंक को छोड़कर, अन्य सभी क्षेत्रीय सूचकांक तेल एवं गैस, बिजली, एफएमसीजी और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी के साथ 0.4-0.8 प्रतिशत की गिरावट के साथ लाल निशान में बंद हुए।
बीएसई के मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप सूचकांकों के साथ व्यापक सूचकांकों ने मुख्य सूचकांकों से बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया, जो मामूली बढ़त के साथ बंद हुए।
