Donald Trump-Kim Jong-un summit: Full text of joint document signed by the US president, North Korean leader

President of the United States Donald Trump and Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un on Tuesday released a joint statement at the Singapore Summit. After the meeting and signing a “comprehensive” document, Kim is believed to have agreed to “complete denuclearisation” of North Korea.

“We’re signing a very important document, a pretty comprehensive document,” Trump said after two leaders signed the document, adding that he would discuss it “at great length” at the news conference scheduled for 4 pm. Kim said he was grateful to Trump for making this meeting happen. “We had a historic meeting and have decided to leave the past behind. We are about to sign the historic document. The world will see change.”
