Global demand for oil is expected to increase in the next year but U.S. protectionism could pose a risk to growth forecasts, the International Energy Agency said in its latest forecast today.

Commercial oil inventories in industrialized OECD nations rose in January for the first time in seven months to 2.871 billion barrels, 53 million barrels above their five-year average.
