Silver uplands 0.46% in investments trade on overall cues

Silver futures restored 0.46 per cent antrorse at Rs 36,321 per kg today as participants originated another speculative positions, tracking gains in global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March month contracts was up by Rs 166, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 36,321 per kg in business volume of 5,287 lots.

Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month May traded upward by Rs 161, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 36,945 per kg in 37 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators in tune with gains in bullion in global bazaars as low levels spurred buying activity, influenced silver prices in futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver prominent 0.40 per cent to $ 15.74 an ounce in London.
